We have a name :)

We are back from vacation! RELAX, RELAX and RELAX...that was my motto for the week. :)

We had a great doctor visit last week. Baby G is looking good. Have to go back next week for the Diabetes test. yay... Then we go every 2 weeks. He will be here before we know it.

We registered at Target last week. Loads of fun. :) I guess things are starting to come together.

We are starting to mark things off our to-do list. I always love that.

We started at the new church today, with a sunrise service. This is a big deal. I have never been to a sunrise service and they expect me to be there and be nice. We had to pray that I am awake and presentable because early mornings are not my thing. We are so very excited and can't wait for what awaits us with this new group of kids. :)

We put a bid in on a house and they accepted. We have had the inspection and everything looks great so we are on to the next step. We hope to be moved by the end of May but we sure would love to be in there before that, that's our hope anyways.

Well, Baby G's name as most of you know has been a sore spot (some may say :)) for Kraig and me. We could not agree on anything! If I liked something, Kraig vetoed...if he liked something...it was often times just a joke because he could not be serious about it. So, we finally made some progress and nailed down a few ideas.

And his name is....

Kraig Everett Givens III
BUT
we will call him Rett taken from the end of Everett

    LOVE the name! Congratulations on everything! It sounds like you guys have been really busy lately. It seems like there is so much good happening for ya'll. Keep blogging, I love to keep up with you guys!

goodness...will it ever stop?!

Without further adieu.... Kraig and I have been called to a little church out in the valley to serve as youth pastor (and wifey). What a drastic change this will be!?! But a blessing that I never saw coming :) Kraig has been struggling off and on for about a year now about youth ministry and his (our) role with youth. He knew he loved teaching at OCA and we both loved serving the youth at Oakwood. Kraig just wasn't sure if there was more to his struggle than just teaching and just serving at the capacity that we were in. So, with lots of prayer and searching the scripture, Kraig knew that we were supposed to do something more. Well, that was that. We didn't pursue anything, we had a lot going on at our church and we were just getting into the swing of things and really enjoying our youth. About January...I guess... Where do you want to be?

If someone would have told me 5 years ago that I would: 1 - marry a yankee :) 2 - work with kids 3 - have a kid 3 years after being married (or have a kid, period) 4 - live in Chickamauga I think I would have laughed in their face. Well, here I am...almost to my 3 year anniversary to a YANKEE that I love dearly, work with kids day in and day out - with youth and 4 th graders, we have a baby boy on the way, and it looks like we will be staying in Chickamauga or the surrounding area. Hmmm ...it's funny (I don't think I am laughing yet) how the Lord has molded my life to what He wanted and yet it is so far from what I wanted, but it is exactly what I needed and where I need to be. I love my husband. We rarely agree on much but he is one of the best things to have ever happened to me. We joke about our disagreements, right now, we can't even agree on our son's name. What are you doing?

Growing up, I never had a plan.  I guess I had the mind set that we aren't guaranteed tomorrow.  Which I still kind of live by this thought however - I try to plan a little bit more. While a lot of my friends knew what they wanted to be when they grew up, I had no idea. They knew the colors of their weddings and the flowers and where to place them, I didn't even know if I would get married. They had their kids names picked out and how many they would have.  I didn't want a kid. I did know that I wanted to see the world.  That was the extent of my plans.  I didn't know how I would do this but I knew I wanted to see the Sistine Chapel, Rome, where Jesus walked and lived, and every state in the U.S. of A. I have enjoyed seeing my friend's plans come full circle.  They are having the weddings of their dreams and having their kids, white picket fences and 2 car garages.  I love it.  :) WOW!!!  Have things in my life changed.  I ha...
